The modern concept bakery was founded by Anita Chia and Aris Goh in year 2013 under the brand “Proofer”. Our name comes from a no-shortcuts philosophy, referring to a step many bakers skip: letting the dough rise twice, resulting in deeply flavourful bread. Simply because this is how good bread is made. PROOFER = PROOFING It quickly became a stop for many busy urbanites for something fresh and hot enjoyed on the go. The big idea behind our bakery highlights high quality ingredients, traditional techniques, and exciting bread concepts made fresh for you. The Group has also developed its own brands including “Proofer” “Yuba Hut”, “Laura” and “300BC Bakery”.
