Baker X @ Orchard Central is a pioneering initiative that provides a platform for home-baking entrepreneurs to trial their business and scale it up with a physical outlet. Far East Organization created this project to encourage the entry of new brands and enhance Singapore's business ecosystem by offering customers more choices and greater diversity.Bakers are given the opportunity to work in a fully equipped baking studio and café at no cost for a period of 2 to 6 weeks to bake and sell their creations. The café also houses Foreword Coffee Roasters, a social enterprise that opens daily. The project kicked off with White's Bakery, followed by a line-up of talented bakers such as Browned Butter Bakehouse, Mon Cerise Patisserie, Ree and Mummy, Flourcrafts, Simplybakes, Egg Sugar Butter, Frosted by Fang, Arc-en-ciel, Joobakes, Supply Meet Dough, Guilt Free Food, Dilutedcoke, Simply Chilli, and Pomedochi.
